Cross Country Finishes 46th at NCAA Division III Regional Championships

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Simmons College women's cross country team finished 46th this afternoon at the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship hosted by Williams College at Mount Greylock High School in Williamstown, Mass. The race was the final meet of the season for Simmons.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology won the championship with a team score of 40 in the six kilometer race, while the Sharks posted a team total of 1296 among the 57 teams in the field.

MIT's Sarah Quinn won the race with a time of 21:39.9.

Sophomore Sara Harland (Pembroke, Mass.) turned in a time of 26:19.1 for her best 6K time of the season to lead the Sharks and a finish of 232nd place, while classmate Mia DeLuccia (Lynnfield, Mass.) came in at 243rd with a mark of 26:28.6 to eclipse her best 6K time of the year by 65 seconds. Junior Kara MacLean (Braintree, Mass.) recorded a time of 26:36.3 to place 252nd, while sophomore Bethanie Royality-Lindman (Wakefield, R.I.) clocked in at 27:25.9 to best her season-mark by two seconds and finish 286th. Sophomore Madison Rivard (Sharon, Mass.) placed 292nd with a time of 27:40 to round out the scoring for Simmons. Junior Alicia Morales (Uxbridge, Mass.) bettered her season time in the 6K by two ticks, coming in at 28:01.4 to finish 304th, while senior Lillian Pham (Springfield, Mass.) closed out her career with a time of 28:22.5 to place 324th for the Sharks.
