Abby Hart begins her post-playing career as an Assistant Coach with the Sharks in 2017. 

The former middle blocker has coached the 15 and under RIPP Volleyball Club team over the past year and also coached at the Simmons Nike Camp this past summer.

While with Sharks, Hart earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference Third Team honors following her senior season that saw her stand seventh in the league in hitting percentage and among the circuit's top 15 in kills per set, points per set and blocks per frame. The Western Massachusetts native finished her career with more blocks than any Simmons player in the last decade, while placing second in career kills and matches played. The net player also topped the team in total blocks three times during her tenure and helped the Sharks post a 30-14 (.681) record in GNAC play, while advancing to the conference tournament semifinals on three occasions.

A three-time GNAC All-Academic Team honoree, Hart graduated this past May with a degree in Psychology and is currently in the Dual Licensure MAT Program for Elementary Education and Moderate Special Needs.
