Bob Rauseo enters his 19th year as the Simmons University Head Tennis Coach. He is currently ranked amongst the top-40 NCAA Division III coaches in both winning percentage and total wins.

In his 18 campaigns, Rauseo has led his squad to a 199-122 (.620) overall record and an eye-popping 129-22 (.854) mark against Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) competitors.  He has captured the GNAC Championship in 10 of his 18 seasons with league crowns in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015 and during the Sharks dominant conference run, they won a staggering 76 straight conference matches from 2008-16.

Under his guidance, the Sharks have also made nine NCAA tournament appearances, representing Simmons in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, with the 2010, 2014 and 2015 squads advancing to the second round.

Rauseo has been named the GNAC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year eight times, including 2005, 2006, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. His teams have double-digit win totals in all but four seasons of his tenure at Simmons, including seven seasons with 14 or more victories. The Sharks won a school-record 17 matches in 2014-15 with only five defeats.

A true teacher of the game of tennis, Rauseo has seen 66 all-conference honors come to his players, including 50 for singles play, while three of his student-athletes have received GNAC Player of the Year accolades. As a testament to his ability to recruit premier talent and hone their skills, six of his newcomers have earned Rookie of the Year status from the conference.

The mentor is also a well-known figure within the region, having served on the ITA Division III Ranking Committee, as well as the NCAA Division III Regional Advisory Committee for over a dozen years.

Prior to his arrival at Simmons, Rauseo was the varsity tennis coach at Mount Alvernia high school. The 2006 team qualified for the state tournament for the first time in school history. Rauseo, who also coached girls' tennis at The Winsor School, was named the Eastern Independent League (EIL) Coach of the Year in 2009 while leading his team to a second place league finish.

Rauseo, a four-year standout at Suffolk from 1981-84, was selected the team's Most Valuable Player in each of his last three seasons. A three-time captain, he holds the program record with 19 consecutive wins at the top position and was ranked among New England's top twenty players. In May of 2007, Rauseo became the first tennis player inducted into Suffolk's Athletic Hall of Fame.

A native of Saugus, Massachusetts, Rauseo earned a Bachelor's Degree in philosophy from Suffolk University in 1984 and an MBA in 1990.
