Billie Jean King Delivers 2014 Commencement Address; Meets With Simmons Athletes

BOSTON, Mass. -- Tennis legend and activist Billie Jean King delivered the 2014 Simmons College Undergraduate Commencement address Friday morning to a packed house at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in the Boston Seaport.

BOSTON, Mass. -- Tennis legend and activist Billie Jean King delivered the 2014 Simmons College Undergraduate Commencement address Friday morning to a packed house at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion in the Boston Seaport. 

King discussed three important things she's observed in successful people: "Keep learning — keep learning how to learn. And also to be a problem solver. I've found those three things, and there's other things, but those were three main things that I've found that people who have inner success as well as outer success. [These] three things seem to be very high in their list and why they do well, I think, in life," said King. 

Prior to the Commencement ceremony, King met with Simmons graduating senior athletes and posed for several photographs.
