Swimming & Diving's Scholand Named a 2018 CSCAA Scholar All-AmericanJune 27, 2018NORFOLK, Va. -- Simmons College's Aine Scholand (Albuquerque, N.M.) was named a 2018 College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-American it was announced today by the CSCAA. Scholand is one of a record 1,069 swimmers and divers who were designated as Scholar All-America. The award recognizes students that have achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and competed at their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The selections were drawn from 181 colleges and universities across all Divisions.

Williams Named GNAC Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year; Scholand Named Athlete of the Year and Soraghan Tabbed Top RookieApril 12, 2018WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons College's Mindy Williams (Hampstead, N.H.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Coach of the Year in addition to sophomore Aine Scholand (Albuquerque, N.M.) being chosen the GNAC Women's Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Year and first year Maria Soraghan (East Hampstead, N.H.) being tabbed the GNAC Women's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Year, it was announced by the conference.

Swimming & Diving Defeats St. Joseph's (Maine) (211.5-40.5) and Western New England (199-62)January 20, 2018STANDISH, Maine - The Simmons College women's swimming & diving team won all 14 events in a double-dual meet sweep over host Saint Joseph's College (Maine), 211.5-40.5, and Western New England University, 199-62, this afternoon in Standish, Maine. The Sharks have beaten seven straight opponents and improve to 10-2 on the season to finish with double-digit victories for the fifth straight year. Western New England defeated Saint Joseph's, 169-75, and is now 4-4 on the year, while Saint Joseph's falls to 3-9.

(209-83) and Colby-Sawyer (233-35)January 13, 2018BOSTON, Mass. – The Simmons College women’s swimming & diving team won 13 of 16 events outright and took the top three spots in five events to earn a sweep over visiting Regis (Mass.), 209-83, and Colby-Sawyer College, 233-35, this morning at the Holmes Sports Center Natatorium in Boston, Mass. The Regis men scored a 133-63 victory over Colby-Sawyer, while the women earned a 180-64 win over Colby-Sawyer. The Sharks improve to 8-2 on the season, while Regis women are now 4-4 and the Colby-Sawyer women fall to 5-6. The Regis men improve to 3-3 and Colby-Sawyer dips to 0-7.
