Giraldi Named GNAC Women's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week

WINTHROP, Mass. ? Simmons College women?s swimmer Natalie Giraldi (Bedford, N.H.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women?s Swimming Rookie of the Week, it was announced today by the conference.

Simmons College women?s swimmer Natalie Giraldi (Bedford, N.H.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women?s Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week, it was announced today by the league. The award marks the second straight week that she has earned the honor for the Sharks. 

WINCHESTER, Mass. ? Simmons College women?s swimmer Natalie Giraldi (Bedford, N.H.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women?s Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week for the week of November 10-16, it was announced today by the league. 

WINTHROP, Mass. ? Simmons College?s Natalie Giraldi (Bedford, N.H.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women?s Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week for the week of February 16-22, it was announced today by the league. 

WINTHROP, Mass. ? Simmons College?s Natalie Giraldi (Bedford, N.H.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week for the week of February 23 to March 1, it was announced today by the league.

WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons College women's swimmer Natalie Giraldi (Bedford, N.H.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week, it was announced today by the conference. 

The first year scored 18 points to lead the Sharks to a double-dual meet victory with wins over Gordon College (159.5-91.5) and Elms College (188-61) on November 1. Giraldi won the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.90 and also finished first in the 100-yard individual medley with a mark of 1:05.75. In addition, the rookie swam the breaststroke leg of the Simmons' 200-yard medley relay effort that claimed first with a time of 1:55.68. 

The Bedford High School product has won all three individual events she has entered this season. Giraldi won her first collegiate race last week in team win at Westfield State University on October 25 when she posted a time of 33.48 in the 50-yard breaststroke and also anchored the team's winning 200-yard free relay team to a time of 1:47.76. 

The Sharks are currently 3-0 on the season and will swim again on Saturday, November 8 when they head to Biddeford, Maine to take on University of New England at 1:00 p.m.
