  • Soccer Receives USC Team Academic Award with Ninth-Highest GPA in NCAA Division III

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Simmons University women's soccer team has been named a recipient of the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2017-18 academic year it was announced by the USC. The honor is given annually to soccer programs throughout the United States for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team.
  • Six Named to GNAC All-Conference Team for Soccer

    WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons College’s Liz Donovan (Nashua, N.H.) and Cíara Forde (Quincy, Mass.) and were both named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Second Team, while Lauren Brandau (Madison, Conn.), Mikayla Elliott (Lowell, Mass.), Kashka Gammon (Nashua, N.H.) and Jessie Pratt (Westfield, Mass.) were tabbed Third Team selections, it was announced today by the league. Simmons Soccer also earned the Institutional Sportsmanship Award and junior Erin Fleming (West Boylston, Mass.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. 
  • Soccer Defeated at Johnson & Wales, 2-0, in GNAC Semifinals

    PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The second-seeded Johnson & Wales University women's soccer team scored a pair of goals in an eight-minute plus span to defeat visiting sixth seed Simmons College, 2-0, this evening in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship Tournament Semifinals at Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletics Complex in Providence, R.I. The Sharks end their season with a 10-7-2 record, while the Wildcats improve to 17-3-1 and advance to the Championship match on November 4 vs. top-seeded Lasell College, which downed number four seed Saint Joseph's College (Maine), 3-1.
  • Soccer Shuts Out Emmanuel (Mass.), 2-0, in GNAC Quarterfinals

    BOSTON, Mass. – Senior forward Kashka Gammon (Nashua, N.H.) and Cíara Forde (Quincy, Mass.) eached netted a goal to lead the six-seed Simmons College women’s soccer team to a 2-0 victory over the third-seed Emmanuel College (Mass.) this afternoon in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship Tournament Quarterfinals at Clemente Field in Boston, Mass. The Sharks improve to 10-6-2 overall and advance to the GNAC Semifinals for the first time since 2013. Simmons takes on the winner of second-seeded Johnson & Wales University and seventh-seeded Albertus Magnus College, on Tuesday, October 31. The Saints finish the 2017 campaign with an 11-8-1 mark.

    BOSTON, Mass. - The Simmons College women's soccer team was defeated by visiting Westfield State University, 3-2, this evening on a rain-soaked Daly Field in Brighton, Mass. The Sharks fall to 9-6-2 in their regular-season finale, while the Owls improve to 9-5-2.
  • Klane Lifts Soccer over Mount Ida, 1-0; Schuling Earns 100th Career Coaching Victory

    NEWTON, Mass. – Senior forward Gabrielle Klane (Franklin, Mass.) scored with less than six minutes to play to give the Simmons women’s soccer team a 1-0 victory over host Mount Ida College this evening in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference match on Alumni Field in Newton, Mass. The Sharks improve to 9-5-2 overall and 6-4-1 in league play, while the Mustangs fall to 7-9-0 and 3-8-0. 
  • Forde, Halle Lift Soccer over UMass Dartmouth, 1-0

    NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass.- Junior midfielder Cíara Forde (Quincy, Mass.) scored the only goal of the match to lead the Simmons College women’s soccer team to a 1-0 win over host University of Massachusetts Dartmouth tonight at Cressy Field, in North Dartmouth, Mass. The Sharks improve to 8-5-2 on the season, while the Corsairs drop to 4-12-1.
  • Soccer Falls at Johnson & Wales, 3-1

    PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Simmons College women's soccer team was defeated by host Johnson & Wales University, 3-1, this evening in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference match at Scotts Miracle-Gro field in Providence, R.I. The Sharks drop to 7-5-2 overall and 5-4-1 in conference action, while the Wildcats improve to 13-2 on the season and remain unbeaten at 9-0 in GNAC play.

    BOSTON, Mass. - The Simmons College women's soccer team was defeated by visiting Saint Joseph's College (Maine), 4-2, this evening in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest at Daly Field in Brighton, Mass. The Sharks’ seven-game unbeaten streak comes to an end as they dip to 7-4-2 overall and 5-3-1 in league play, while the Monks improve to 9-4-1 overall and 5-3-1. 
  • Gammon Fuels Soccer in 3-0 Win at Norwich

    NORTHFIELD, Vt. – Senior midfielder Kashka Gammon (Nashua, N.H.) tallied a pair of goals and assisted on a third to lead the Simmons College women’s soccer team to a 3-0 victory over host Norwich University in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference match this evening at Sabine Field in Northfield, Vt. The Sharks extend their unbeaten streak to seven straight, including six consecutive victories to mark the longest win-streak since September 21 to October 11, 2005 when they also won a half dozen contests in a row. Simmons improves to 7-3-2 overall and 5-2-1 in league play, while the Cadets fall to 2-9-0 and 1-7-0. 
  • Donovan Lifts Soccer over Albertus Magnus, 2-1, in OT

    BOSTON, Mass. – Senior defender Liz Donovan (Nashua, N.H.) scored with 5:44 left in overtime to lift the Simmons College women's soccer team to a 2-1 win over the visiting Albertus Magnus College this evening in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference match at Daly Field in Brighton, Mass. The victory extends the Sharks' unbeaten streak to six straight matches, the longest such string since an eight-game stretch from October 5-26, 2011 and boosts the home team's record to 6-3-2 on the season and 4-2-1 in GNAC play, while the Falcons drop to 3-5-1 overall and 2-4-1 in conference action.

The Sharks have won four straight and extend their unbeaten string to five consecutive matches and improve to 5-3-2 overall and 4-2-1 in league play, while the Raiders fall to 1-6-1 and 0-5-1.

    PAXTON, Mass. - Senior midfielder Kashka Gammon (Nashua, N.H.) registered the second career hat trick and junior forward Mikayla Elliott (Lowell, Mass.) tallied a career-high six points to lead the Simmons College women's soccer team to a 10-0 rout over host Anna Maria College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference match this evening at AMCAT Field in Paxton, Mass. The Sharks run their unbeaten streak to four straight and improve to 4-3-2 and 3-2-1 in league play, while the AMCATS fall to 0-7-0 and 0-4-0.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Junior midfielder Cíara Forde (Quincy, Mass.) netted two goals this afternoon to lead the Simmons College women’s soccer team to a 4-2 victory over Regis (Mass.) in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest at Daly Field in Brighton, Mass. The Sharks extend their unbeaten streak to three straight and improve to 3-3-2 overall, including 2-2-1 in league play, while the Pride fall to 2-4-0 and 2-3-0 on the season. The contest marked the first match as conference opponents since Regis joined the GNAC to start the 2017-18 campaign.

Sartori Field in East Boston. The win lifts the Sharks to 2-3-2 on the season and 1-2-1 in the GNAC, while the Rams dip to 2-3 and 1-2 in conference play.

The Sharks maintain at 1-3-2 overall record and 0-2-1 in the GNAC, while the Saints uphold a 2-4-1 season record and 2-0-1 in GNAC play.

The Sharks fall to 1-3-1 overall and 0-2-0 in league play, while the Blue Jays remain unbeaten on the season and win their third straight to improve to 3-0-1 overall and 2-0-0.

The Sharks drop to 1-2-1 on the season overall, including 0-1-0 in league play, while the Lasers improved to 1-2-0 and 1-0-0 in GNAC play.
  • Donovan Leads Soccer in 1-1 Tie at Lesley

    CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - Senior defender Liz Donovan (Nashua, N.H.) scored with 3:56 to play in regulation to pull the Simmons College women's soccer team even with host Lesley University and lead to a 1-1 double-overtime tie this evening at Edwards Field in Cambridge, Mass. The Sharks are now 1-1-1 on the season, while the Lynx stand at 1-1-1 as well.

    BOSTON, Mass. - Senior midfielder Kashka Gammon (Nashua, N.H.) matched her career high with six points, scoring two goals and added a pair of assists to lead the Simmons College women's soccer team to a 9-0 victory over visiting Newbury College today at Daly Field in Brighton, Mass. The Sharks even their record 1-1-0, while the Nighthawks fall to 0-1-0 following their season opener.

    WELLESLEY, Mass. - Following a scoreless first half, host Wellesley College scored the game's lone goal less than five minutes into the second period to edge the Simmons College women’s soccer team, 1-0, this afternoon in non-conference action in Wellesley, Mass. The game was the season opener for both squads as the Sharks drop to 0-1 and the Blue spring to 1-0, earning a victory in their fourth straight season opener.
