Halle Named GNAC Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week

In the Sharks' only match of the week, the first year goalie stopped all six shots she faced in net to record her second collegiate shutout in a 4-0 victory over visiting Rivier University on September 26.

The Watertown H.S. (Mass.) product has seen action in three matches, while making a pair of starts and owns a paltry 0.74 goals against average in 241:47 minutes of action. She has not allowed a goal in her last 207:32 of play. Halle is unbeaten at 2-0-1 on the season and has also made 12 saves to post a .857 save percentage. Her six-save effort vs. Rivier was a career-high.

Simmons has won its last two contests, both shutouts, and heads into its next match with a 3-4-2 record, including 2-1-0 to tie for third in the GNAC standings. The Sharks return to the pitch on Wednesday, October 1 when they host league foe Lasell College on Winsor Field in Boston, Mass. at 8:00 p.m.
