Caroline McManus joined the Simmons College lacrosse staff prior to the 2016 season. 

A native of Sharon, Mass., McManus comes back to the Boston area after spending two years as a graduate assistant coach for Castleton State College. She helped the Spartans compile a 26-10 record, while winning a pair of North Atlantic Conference Championships to earn two NCAA Tournament berths. McManus patrolled the Castleton State sideline last season when it set a school record for wins with a 17-3 mark, while winning its first-ever NCAA Tournament match. 

Prior to her coaching career, McManus was a three-year starter at University of Rochester, where she led the Yellow Jackets in caused turnovers during her senior campaign and also finished second in ground balls. In addition, the defender was a two-year member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and served as Rochester's Liberty League Student Representative as a senior.

McManus graduated from Rochester in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology, Technology and Historical Structures and also earned a Master of Arts degree in Education from Castleton State in 2015.
