Abby Ananian joins the Sharks for the 2018 season after spending time as both a coach and player over the past seven years.

The Belmont, Mass. native served as a Head Lacrosse Coach for a year on the club circuit in Kiel, Germany, where she concentrated on player development in addition to game coaching. She has also spent time as the Club Director for Barefoot Lax in Florida and was a coach for XTEAM Lacrosse Club on the national level.

Ananian excelled as a four-year player and three-year starter for Division I Saint Joseph's University (Pa.), where she was named Third Team All-Philly as a sophomore. The former attacker led the Hawks and was second among Atlantic 10 leaders in draw controls as a junior and ranked second on the team in points and assists. Her career was cut short due to injury during her senior campaign and spent the rest of the season gaining coaching experience from the Saint Joseph's staff.

A 2014 graduate, Ananian earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology.
