Fries, Williams, Sheehan, Bragg Named to GNAC Women's Lax All-Conference TeamMay 10, 2016WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons College women’s lacrosse players Kasey Fries (Bridgewater, Mass.) and Lauren Williams (Bowdoinham, Maine) were both named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Second Team, while Elena Bragg (Belmont, Mass.) and Ashley Sheehan (North Attleboro, Mass.) were named Third Team All-Conference, it was announced by the league today. Simmons was just one of two teams in the league to boast a pair of first years on the All-Conference team.

Fries Leads Lacrosse over St. Joseph (Conn.), 13-8, in Regular Season FinaleApril 30, 2016WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Sophomore attacker Kasey Fries (Bridgewater, Mass.) tallied five points, including four goals to lead the Simmons College women’s lacrosse team to a 13-8 victory over host University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) this afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action. The Sharks improve to 8-8 overall following their regular-season finale and are 5-4 in league play, while the Blue Jays fall to 4-11 and 1-8. Simmons earned the number five seed and will take on fourth-seeded Lasell College in the first round of the GNAC Tournament on Tuesday, May 3 at 3:00 p.m. on the campus of Lasell.

Rogers Named GNAC Women's Lacrosse Goalie of the Week AgainApril 11, 2016WINTHROP, Mass. – Simmons College women’s lacrosse player Kenzie Rogers (Bourne, Mass.) was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Goalie of the Week for the week of April 4-10, it was announced today by the league. Rogers also earned the honor for the week of February 29 to March 6 and is one of two netminders in the conference to be named twice this season.

The award marks the second time this season that the Sharks have been honored with the league’s top weekly rookie accolade. First year Elena Bragg (Belmont, Mass.) was chosen for the week of March 14-20.
