  • Sharks Receive 2011-2012 GNAC Academic All-Conference Honors

    BOSTON, Mass. -- The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) honored 618 student athletes from 14 institutions on its 2011-2012 All-Academic Team announced this afternoon. Forty-five Simmons athletes received the honor, with representation from all eight varsity programs sponsored by the GNAC.

    BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons lacrosse scored 11 goals in the second half to come from behind and force an overtime battle against the Rhode Island College Anchormen Saturday afternoon, before falling 16-15 in sudden death double overtime. Jessica Ricci scored the game winner with 1:57 remaining in the second overtime to lift the Anchormen to their third win of the season.

Despite a hat trick from freshman attacker Marykate McNulty (Madison, Conn.) and just a three-goal deficit at the half, the Saints (1-1, 0-1 GNAC)) were unable to hang with the visiting Sharks (2-2, 1-0 GNAC) in Saturday’s Colleges of the Fenway rivalry played at Roberto Clemente Field.
