    BOSTON, Mass. - The Simmons College women's basketball team was unable to match its first half effort and fell to host Emmanuel College, 91-64, this evening in the Quarterfinals of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship Tournament on Andy Yosinoff Court at the Yawkey Center in Boston, Mass. The Sharks finish their season with an 8-16 record, while the Saints advance to the Semifinals to host Norwich University on February 23. Norwich defeated Suffolk University, 67-53.

    STANDISH, Maine - The Simmons College women's basketball team was unable to recover from a big second quarter from its opponent in an 80-48 defeat to host Saint Joseph's College (Maine) this afternoon in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference contest in Standish, Maine. The Sharks finish the regular season with an 8-15 overall record, including 6-10 in league play, while the Monks have won six of their last seven to finish the regular slate at 21-4 and 15-1 in GNAC action.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Senior forward Liz Brasa (East Hartford, Conn.) matched her career high with 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead the Simmons College women’s basketball team over visiting University of Saint Joseph (Conn.), 66-53, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference game this evening at Moore Gymnasium in Boston, Mass. The Sharks improve to 8-14 overall for their highest win total since they finished 9-14 in 2010-11 and improve their conference mark to 6-9. The Blue Jays fall to 9-15 and 3-12.

The Sharks improve to 7-14 on the season, while the Cougars fall to 13-12 in their regular-season finale.

    BOSTON, Mass. – Senior forward Ashley McAdams (Freeport, N.Y.) netted a career-high 18 points and added 12 rebounds for a double-double to lead the Simmons College women's basketball team in a 72-65 overtime loss to visiting Rivier University in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action this evening at Moore Gymnasium in Boston, Mass. The Sharks fall to 6-14 overall and 5-9 in league play, while the Raiders have won five of their last six to improve to 10-13 and 7-8.
