    NASHUA, N.H. -- Simmons Basketball had an outstanding first half, but the Rivier University Raiders overcame a tough start to the game, rebounding in the second half for a 72-59 win over the Sharks this evening at the Muldoon Gymnasium in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action. The win lifts the Raiders’ overall record to 18-6 with an 8-2 mark in the GNAC. Simmons falls to 3-18 overall and 1-9 in the GNAC.

    BOSTON, Mass. -- First year Liz Brasa (East Hartford, Conn.) put up her third double-double of the season as Simmons Basketball defeated the visiting University of Saint Joseph’s Blue Jays 66-63 for the Sharks first GNAC win Saturday afternoon in their last home game at the Holmes Sports Center. The Sharks move to 3-17 overall with a GNAC record of 1-8, while the Blue Jays end the day with 11-13 overall and 4-6 in GNAC play.

The win boosts the Saints to 13-6 on the season and Emmanuel remains undefeated in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play at 5-0. With the loss, the Sharks stretch their slide to six games and fall to 2-14 on the season and 0-5 in the conference.
