    BOSTON, Mass. -- Simmons Softball, who made it to the GNAC Championship game for the first time since 2004, received six nods when the 2014 GNAC Softball All-Conference Honors were released Monday afternoon. The Sharks, who finished the year 27-10, 17-5 GNAC lost in the opening game of the GNAC tournament on Friday to enter the loser’s bracket but fought their way back to play on Sunday in the Championship.

The Sharks, who went 22-13 last season, were defeated in the first round of the Great Northeast Athletic Conference tournament by the University of Saint Joseph, 3-1 and are out for redemption this spring.
